    A Little Bit About Nothing

VBS is over, I'm all bummed , I think I had a better time then the kids did! We went to go see WALL-E last week, very good movie. You outta go see it if you haven't!

We went out to the beach yesterday, Leo Carillo out in Malibu.  It was fun until we got home and I realized I had gotten sunburned horribly. I even put sunscreen on!!! Either way it was still a great day. I'll upload photos asap.

I've also caught a cold, I haven't had for like a year and a half!!! Along with my cold my asthma has acted up badly, so I've been out of breath all morning now.  The stupid insurance company won't cover my medication I need, and now doctor's out on maternity leave so I won't be able to get any asthma stuff for quite a while. I do have some asthma stuff though, I just hate taking it cuz it's got that stuff in it that speeds up your heart and makes you all tired.

I've also decided that I like Coldplay, I looked them up about a week ago, and just today I found out that there new album, Viva La Vida, is the top downloaded album on the internet and it got there in only two weeks! at least that's what Yahoo says.....but they really aren't that bad! I'm not a huge fan or anything, Switchfoot is definently better.

Pirates, Narnia, and Hilarious 6th Graders

I can't seem to remember the last time I actually blogged like normal people, talked about my every day normal life, so I guess I should give a few updates. XD

VBS (vacation bible school) starts tomorrow, I'm all excited. I'm teaching 6th grade (the Pirates.....arrgh???) It was actually easier decorating the rooms (we have four in all, a total of 170 students....yeah it's a pretty big church, I don't actually go there but we do go to VBS every year and this year my mom though it would be a good idea for me to give a little back this year. ) then I thought it would be, they had told us that we couldn't use skulls and crossbones because it represents death and some people might get offended. *rolls eyes* Then they changed their mind and said that we could use skulls and crossbones. That was right after I had googled the history of skulls and crossbones and had an awesome comeback for anyone who dare get offended by them. *cracks up*

I'm all excited 'cause the sixth graders are the Pirates, and if you know me I'm a huge Pirates of the Caribbean fan. So it's gonna be fun....I hope. :)

Here's a pic of a Pirate ship that Kathryn (not Kathryn, Angelbaby12487, a different Kathryn!) and I painted....(actually we traced it....but we did paint it after tracing it!!!)

We asked one of the sixth graders there, who was helping us out, what he thought if it. His reply was, "Is the sun supposed to be good or bad, it looks a little edgy to me. Oh, and what's with the fish and cross is it Noahs Ark or something!?!" *cracks up*

I finally found some info on the Narnia Exhibit, it's on NW. (who knew! ) It'll definitely will be coming to L.A. *starts shouting and running about the house* I can't wait! I'm dying to know which museum though, I can't find on google for it, besides the NW article.

Well, I should get off now......bye for now!!!

    I have been tagged.

O.K., I've been tagged......for the first time. *cracks up* What's scary is it took me twenty something times of re-reading the rules to actually figure out what  I could barely figure out what it was, I can be so stupid sometimes. *headdesk* Anyhoo....here goes.

    Rules
Link to the person that tagged you, post the rules somewhere in your meme, answer the questions, tag six people in your post, let the tagees know they’ve been chosen by leaving a comment on their blog, let the tagger know your entry is posted.

Who’s your all-time favourite author and why?
C.S. Lewis. Because his writing style is so relatable. J.R.R Tolkien is very good as well, he just has too muny descriptive passeges....alright chapters....which ends up driving me crazy because I have to wait to find out what happens. o_O *laughs* J.K. Rowling is up there too. Am I making any sense?

Who was your first favourite author and why? Do you still consider him/her among your favourites?
I guess it'd have to be Carolyn Keene, I used to love Nancy Drew, and the Hardy Boys.....*laughs* I also loved Laura Ingalls Wilder, it took me a couple years to work through the Little House series but once I finished I decided that I did like them after all!

Who’s the most recent addition to your list of favourite authors, and why?
Megan Whalen Turner. I finaly read the Attolia trilogy after excessive nagging from a certain person *ahem* I did like them though! The humor is great, and so is the storyline. :) Regina Doman comes next. I love her books, the charectors, the humour, everything!

If someone asked you who your favourite authors were right now, which authors would first pop out of your mouth?
C.S. Lewis, Regina Doman, Lewis Carroll, Madeline Le'Engle, J.K. Rowling, Mark Twain, and Megan Whalen Turner, those are just off the top of my head.

Now I get to tag people I now doom Kathryn, Andrea, Erin, Victoria, Alyosha, and Christina. *laughs evily* Sorry!

    Look out ya'll! I'm back!!!

After a exceptionally long vacation, I have at long last returned. My parents lifted the privilege of using their computer for several weeks, (dismal as it sounds, I don't have one of my own) and I had no choice but to comply to their wishes.  Anyhoo moving on.....I'm goin' to summer camp this year! Lainey has a Celtic Women Concert the in May, and there's only 29 days left 'till Prince Caspian!!!!! *runs around the house like crazy runs into wall, loud thud*

We made it to the library today (Whoo-hoo!!!), I got: The Man Who Was Thursday, and The Poet and the Lunatics by G.K. Chestorton. Delaney's been beleaguering (oh my, that is a fun word....) me to read The Man Who Was Thursday for ages now, so I've finally made a effort towards doing that. ;) I also got The music for Annie (no clue, don't ask), The Best of Julie Andrews (which, by the way, looks quite interesting.....), Les Miserables, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, that's about it.

*imitates news reporter* In other news, ladys and gentlemen, *clears throat and becomes normal again* I finished The Attolia Books!!!!!!   It's been like....six months since I read The Thief!!! I loved, loved, loved it!!!! The Thief was the one of the best books I've read in a long time, The Queen of Attolia was very slow but it was a well written book. The King of Attolia was the BEST EVER! It could've been that it took me so long to finish, but either way it was a great book!

Isn't ecstatic is a fun word.....my dads watching the news in the other room, and the reporter just said "so and so will be out here any minute to sign autographs, and the fans are ecstatic" *cracks up* sorry couldn't couldn't resist mates! that was just to random of an interruption to pass up! Anyhow, I haven't another word to say so au revoir à vous tout! (good bye to you all!)

P.S. I just started listening to Evanescence, they're aren't that bad, some of their songs are inappropriate so I just skip those things, others are ok, like: My Immortal and whatnot. I just thought I'd add that so ya'll know.
